According to WuBlockchain, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Mike Selig said on the Bankless podcast on the 15th that he had discussed a regulatory pathway for decentralized perpetual futures platforms such as Hyperliquid to enter the U.S. market.
Commissioner Selig said blockchain technology and the 24/7 trading model are changing how markets operate, adding that regulators should not mechanically apply old rules but instead adopt an approach suited to new financial structures.
