Hana Financial Reportedly Seeks to Acquire 6.55% Stake in Dunamu

PANews reported that Hana Financial Group plans to invest about 1 trillion won, or approximately $667 million, to acquire a 6.55% stake in Dunamu, the operator of South Korean crypto exchange Upbit.

The move is drawing attention as a case of a traditional financial institution seeking equity in a major domestic digital asset company, highlighting the potential for broader cooperation between the financial sector and the digital asset industry.

CME Plans to Launch Crypto Index Futures on June 8

UBlockchain reported that CME Group, the largest derivatives exchange in the United States, plans to launch Nasdaq CME Crypto Index Futures on June 8, subject to regulatory approval.

The product will be CME’s first market capitalization-weighted crypto index futures contract, tracking a basket of major cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, ADA, LINK, and XLM.

Both standard and micro-sized contracts will be offered. As CME is a key derivatives venue for institutional investors, the launch is seen as an expansion of index-based crypto investment tools.

Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF Set to Begin Trading on NYSE

According to Odaily, the Bitwise Hyperliquid ETF is scheduled to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange this Friday under the ticker BHYP.

BHYP is expected to become the first U.S. fund to provide Hyperliquid staking yield. Staking operations will be handled by Bitwise Onchain Solutions, a Bitwise affiliate.

Earlier, the 21Shares Hyperliquid ETF (THYP) launched this Tuesday and recorded about $1.8 million in first-day trading volume. 21Shares also said it plans to stake most of its HYPE holdings.

Hyperliquid is an on-chain perpetual futures exchange that has recently expanded into tokenized products and spot digital asset trading. Its native token, HYPE, is used for platform fee payments.

U.S. Spot XRP ETFs Record $18.52 Million in Daily Net Inflows

According to SoSoValue data, U.S. spot XRP ETFs saw net inflows of $18.523 million in a single day on the 14th local time.

By product, the Bitwise XRP ETF (XRP) led with $7.0076 million in net inflows, followed by the Franklin XRP ETF (XRPZ) with $6.6413 million.

As of the reporting time, total net assets of U.S. spot XRP ETFs stood at $1.25 billion, with an XRP net asset ratio of 1.34%. Cumulative net inflows were recorded at $1.374 billion.

ETF net inflows are considered an indicator of investor demand for the asset, and the market views spot ETF fund flows as one of the drivers of price movement.

U.S. Spot Solana ETFs Record $6.51 Million in Daily Net Inflows

PANews, citing SoSoValue data, reported that U.S. spot Solana (SOL) ETFs saw total net inflows of $6.5063 million on the 14th U.S. Eastern Time.

The Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL) recorded the largest inflow with $3.7716 million for the day, while the Fidelity Solana Fund ETF (FSOL) posted net inflows of $2.7347 million.

As of the reporting time, total net assets of spot SOL ETFs stood at $1.05 billion, with a SOL net asset ratio of 1.96%, while cumulative net inflows reached $1.115 billion.

Spot ETF fund flows are widely used as a key indicator of institutional investor demand.

Circle Mints 500 Million USDC on Solana in 24 Hours

Odaily, citing SolanaFloor data, reported that Circle minted about 500 million USDC on the Solana network over the past 24 hours.

USDC is a major dollar-pegged stablecoin, and increases in issuance on a network tend to draw market attention in relation to DeFi activity and trading liquidity expansion.

Strategy Estimated to Have Bought 13,491 BTC via STRC

Bitcoin Magazine reported that Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, is estimated to have purchased 13,491 BTC through STRC.

The estimated amount is roughly 30 times the number of bitcoins mined in a single day. Strategy remains one of the best-known public companies pursuing a corporate bitcoin treasury strategy.

HyperLend to Shut Down USDH Lending Market

HyperLend, a HyperEVM-based lending protocol, announced that it will shut down its USDH lending market following Hyperliquid’s announcement of a phased wind-down of USDH operations.

According to PANews, HyperLend will stop USDH supply and borrowing on the platform within 48 hours. The protocol has urged users to repay outstanding USDH loans as soon as possible.

The move comes as a follow-up to Hyperliquid’s decision to gradually discontinue USDH operations.

KOSPI Extends Early Losses to 4%

According to Odaily, South Korea’s KOSPI widened its early-session losses to 4%.

Foreign investors sold 1.6 trillion won worth of KOSPI-listed shares during morning trading. Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and SK Square were among the main drivers of the decline.

The market is also watching wage negotiations between Samsung Electronics and its labor union, as well as the possibility of a strike. Samsung Electronics shares were at one point down 5.1%.
